The comeback of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited widespread excitement within the fandom. From the one-by-one unveiling of newcomers ahead of the game's release, to players forming strong opinions on the full lineup of new Megas, there's a lot for enthusiasts to look forward to.

Given many of the Mega Evolutions boasting unique designs that highlight their traits, one thought came to mind: How can connect this with zodiac signs? This list is based on a mix of intuition, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.

The Ram – Super Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndoom was nearly chosen for this fire sign, as they are the Super Form and astrological sign that inspire the most fear. But, a Super Houndoom appears as constantly angry, which doesn't match the Aries vibe, known for being playful, light-hearted, and spontaneous. Much like a loyal Taurus, the reliable Heracross species, both in its regular and Super Form, has aided many trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, each the creature and a Bull are also Fighting types, and – be it their companion or a strong opinion – will stand up for their position to the end. The thing about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, though, is its unashamed love of snacks. Several past Pokédex entries mention their craving for sweet sap and how it employs its horn to hoard it all, which is true Bull-sign vibe.

The Twins – Mega Medicham

Look at this absolute royalty. It's impossible to convince me this creature is not the life of any gathering, providing an endless fountain of chatter to those who wish to hear. Just like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's very easy to envision Mega Medicham mesmerizing an whole open area with their tales. Medicham’s official description also states its ability to predict an enemy’s next moves, which seems quite like a socially-savvy Gemini.

Cancer – Super Manectric

The Crab is commonly considered as the most sensitive member of the zodiac, a intense symbol famous for often becoming absorbed in their feelings. The zodiac symbol known for being endearingly judgmental is strongly reflected throughout this creature's entire evolutionary chain, from a perpetually surprised face like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a 401(k), to its upside-down visage that’s just like the emoji a Virgo sends to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than making a plan.

The Scales – Super Audino

Look at this gentle, sensitive creature, who uses the sensors on its auditory organs to tell how others are emotionally by their heartbeat. Consistently empathetic – sometimes to a fault – and trying to keep the harmony, there are many Scales who would probably benefit from Super Audino's skills. However, to be frank, it would likely just make them worry even more about everyone else.

The Scorpion – Super Banette

Banette is a Pokémon with a unexpectedly sad backstory: Discarded as a doll, it gained sentient through pure resentment and vowed retribution on its previous caretaker. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That sounds exactly like many conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpion friends. A Scorpion adores cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the perfect pair with Mega Banette.

Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha

Each Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always staging a performance. As a Archer personally, the number of times I’ve called myself some variation of a “silly little jester” is countless. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Super Form, its description even notes how it “poses to show off its power.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Archer match I can imagine.

Capricorn – Mega Absol
