Former Doctor Charged with Assault Charges Involving Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities have announced that a former physician now faces charges for performing assaults involving 38 victims who were under his care.
Details of the Grave Charges
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with dozens of sexual offences â some of which involve acts against children younger than 13 â between 2017 and 2021.
A senior CPS official said, âOur prosecutors have worked at length to assist a detailed and complex investigation, carefully reviewing the available evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.â
Scope of the Investigation
These allegations follow what police called a âdetailed inquiryâ into alleged sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital.
Spencer will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.

The charging documents outline the forty-five charges include:
- 15 counts of sexual assault.
- Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
- 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
