The Congressional oversight panel has made public a batch of roughly 70 photos secured from the holdings of former found guilty individual convicted of sex crimes Jeffrey Epstein.

This represents the third publication from a larger collection of more than 95,000 photos the body has acquired from Epstein's estate. It includes photographs of quotes from the literary work Lolita inscribed across a female's body, and redacted photos of women's international passports.

This release occurs hours before the December 19th deadline for the Department of Justice to make public each records related to its investigation into Epstein.

"These photographs raise further inquiries about exactly what the DOJ has in its custody," stated the Democratic lead of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What's in the Images Released

Some of the photos published on Thursday depict Epstein in discussion with professor and activist Noam Chomsky on a personal aircraft; Bill Gates positioned next to a woman whose features is obscured; Steve Bannon seated at a table opposite Epstein, and former Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner gathering.

These are the most recent affluent, powerful individuals to be photographed in Epstein property images released by the oversight panel - earlier disclosed photos also depict US President Donald Trump and ex-president Bill Clinton, as well as movie director Woody Allen, ex- US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, counsel Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and additional individuals.

Appearing in the photos is does not constitute proof of any misconduct, and several of the pictured men have stated they were never implicated in Epstein's unlawful actions.

In a announcement accompanying the photo publication, Democratic members on the US House Oversight Committee said the Epstein property holders did not supply context or timeframes for the pictures.

"Images were selected to provide the American people with transparency into a representative sample of the photographs obtained from the holdings, and to provide understanding into Epstein's associates and his exceptionally troubling activities," the announcement reads.

The publication also includes several photos of passages from the Vladimir Nabokov book Lolita penned in black ink across different parts of a female's body, such as her upper body, foot, pelvis, and rear. Lolita narrates the story of a adolescent who was groomed by a adult literature professor.

An example of a passage from the novel inscribed across a woman's chest says, "Lolita's name: the tip of the tongue making a journey of three steps down the mouth to alight, at three, on the teeth".

The release also contains a number of photographs of women's identification and official papers from states globally, including Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

The majority of the data on the IDs, like names and birth dates, is obscured but the House Oversight Committee said in a statement that the travel documents pertain to "females whom Jeffrey Epstein and his associates were interacting with".

A further photograph shows Epstein positioned at a table in close proximity in the company of three women whose faces have been censored - one has her hand on Epstein's torso under his garment, and another individual is bending to examine a adjacent laptop. Epstein seems to be assisting the third individual attach a bracelet.

A further photograph made public is a screenshot of text messages from an unnamed individual who states they have been supplied "several females" and are demanding "$one thousand dollars per girl".

Photograph Publication Occurs Ahead of DOJ Deadline

The panel has many thousands of photographs in its custody from the Epstein holdings, which are "both graphic and ordinary," its press release on this week explained.

The Congressional committee first subpoenaed the property of Epstein, who died in a New York correctional facility in 2019 while facing trial on accusations of human trafficking, in August.

The images and files the Epstein property provided to the body are separate from what is largely termed "Epstein-related records". That material are documents under the Department of Justice's custody connected to its own investigation into Epstein.

In accordance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which Donald Trump made law in November, the DOJ has until 19 December to release its files. The full nature of the contents found in the DOJ's files is not publicly known, and it's probable that a significant portion of the material will be heavily redacted, akin to the committee's materials
